Guinea pigs - lives in a large cage together with the rabbits
Hens - just walking around at the school
A lot of crows - very annoying - sometimes pooping on people
Mosquitos - annoying
Bugs - they are just there
Cats (not there anymore) - a mother and a kitten - the owner found them and took them back
A monkey (not there anymore) - called Narry - very cute - attacked some people because they
came too close - the headmaster catched him and left him into the wild.

Revolution day

On last saturday we decided to go to Aman stadion to celebrate the Revolution day. When we got there we didn't have any thoughts of what it would be like. It was full of people on the tribune, and we were the only one who were white! On the field it was a lot of troops and an orcherstra. When we had watched all of them take place, groups of people were coming and walking around the field with posters and dressed in yellow. I think they represented CCM (the president's party)

Don't do this!

If you are biking in the dark at Zanzaibar, and it comes a car from behind, you have to get a way in a hurry. If you then turn a little bit to the left and bike right into a stone fence, this it what it will look like later:

Manicure VS Pedicure?!?

The holiday after my brothers went

When my brothers left, my mums cousin and her family were still here.

So this is what we did:
We stayed in Jambiani for three days and we saw this funny sign:
Red winey = red wine
White winey = white wine
Spacheet = Spaghetti (we think)
Disart = Desert
We saw sea weed farming.
We went on a boat trip with another family, that are friends of our friends.
We got massage!

We saw a sailboat race. The guy that helped at the house we stayed on won!
I got manicure for the first time in my life! (my mum's cousin and her family left)

I damaged my toe a bit, when I biked into a stone fence in the dark...

Christmas holiday

Day 1:

After a non-uniform day at school, I met all my brothers who had just arrived to Zanzibar. We were buying some ice-cream, and then we went home and stayed there for some hours.  For dinner we went to a restaurant in stone town called Archipelago. After dinner we went to a place called Livingstone and bought something to drink. Then we went home.

Day 2:

We went to Nungwi. It is a very nice beach there, so we were swimming and we played volleyball at the beach.

Later that day we went to Kendwa rocks. There we had to pay 10,000Tsh to get in. It was kind of a disco. It was a lot of music and dancing. We stayed there until after midnight.

Day 3:

It was a very relaxing day. We were at home, waiting for a guy called Olav, for a while. Later that day, we took a drink on a roof top restaurant. Then we went to a nightmarket in town called Forodhani. There it is every night a ,lot of tables that sells food. We bought kebab.

Day 4:

My brothers and me went to town to buy some christmas presents. We also went to buy something to drink on a rooftop.

Later that day, we went to Mbweni ruins and met another Norwegian family who had just arrived. We were swimming a bit, and the we ate dinner there.

Day 5:

We went in a dhow to a sandbank, where some of us did some snorkling and some were just laying in the sun. After the sandbank trip we ate at a restaurant with a bar at the top floor. Almost everybody wanted burger, so we ordered 8 burgers. Around 15 minutes later they came back and said that they only had 3 burgers, so 5 of us had to choose something else, but it was good!

Day 6:

We woke up around 4 in the morning to swim with dolphins. We had imagined that it would be maybe 3 boats, and many dolphins. We also thought that the dolphins would come to us, and people had told us that they liked to play with you. It was not like that at all! We were maybe 8 boats, and it was one dolphin! Everybody wanted to see it, so we were chasing it. The dolphin didn't seem to mind at all. When the boats came, it just went down, and then it came up another place. The boats came, it went down. We got to see it, but not like we thought. For me it was scary. I'm kind of afraid of the water, and we were in the middle of a black ocean with a big animal in it! When I looked at a video when we got home of the dolphin, I think it looked like a shark, even thought I know it was not.
After that everybody was so tired, so we just relaxed at home.
Then we went to the Haukeland house (a house with Norwegian doctors, where we know some of the families), and played volleyball and ate dinner.

I don't have any pictures of the dolphin..

Day 7:

We went in a dhow to a very cool place where we were snorkling. Then we went on to another place where we got a big meal with seafood, chips, rice etc.. At that place it is a big baobab tree, that we could climb on.

Day 8:

Spice tour! We started the spice tour with eating a delicious meal that they made for us. Then we went around and looked at different spices, and the girls got a necklace and something to carry the spices in. When we had seen everything we got to see a guy climb a coconut tree. Then we got a ring and a crown each.
For dinner we ate at a Ethiopian restaurant, which was very good, but
kind of special..

Day 9:

Christmas eve!!!
We celebrated christmas different this year. It didn't feel like christmas at all! No snow, no Santa Claus and no christmas tree.
We ate a big dinner and we walked around the coconut tree in our garden. Then we opened presents, and had a quiz.
That was what our christmas was like this year!
