17th of May!

This might be a little bit hard to understand for people who are not from Norway, so I will quickly explain.
The 17th of May is Norway's Nation Day, that is when we got our constitution, in year 1814. We celebrate that really big! Early in the morning all the children in Norway walk in a parade singing out national anthem and other Norwegian songs with music orchestras. In the area where I live, we walk past the crown Prince, the crown Princess and their children.
In Oslo, tens of thousands children walk past the King, this is how it looks like:

After that we go to the school and there it is a lot of games. You can play the wheel of fortune, walk on stilts, buy some food and a lot more!
After the celebration at school, everybody goes home and many have another celebration at home with their family.

These are some pictures from the celebration in Norway:
This is something we call a potato race!

Me and Ingvild when we were small!
This is another special, Norwegian race :)

So, the 17th of May was yesterday, and it wasn't exactly like in Norway...
First I went to school, and later we went to a nice restaurant in town.
With our little flag!

And some delicious food!

That was the celebration this year!
